Reviews for Andiamo

This place had great service but honestly I prefer the breakfast menu more than the dinner menu. The ragú has an overpowering wine flavour which makes it very bitter although the scallops were divine. The lamb rump is average although the portions are minuscule. Only about 3 small slices of meat, a couple drops of sauce and 3-4 parsnip sticks, it was more of an entreé than a main! The waitress's are really helpful and not pushy at all which was very handy when ordering for a big group. The duck was an immense dissapointment because it was just plain and a very small portion and most of the duck was actually fat. Overall very average and dull but I would highly recommend re scallops. Has higher expectations for this place.

Came here with boss on business occasion, we were greeted with friendly service. Unfortunately our business partners came from a place that doesn't eat rare beef so all steak was ordered well done. Being the host, we let them choose and I ended up with the well done steak. To my surprise, the steak was still soft, tender and juicy, so I must say Andiamo uses really good beef. Thoroughly enjoyed the food at that point.

My partner and I were taken here last year and while I do not usually spend this much on a dinner out I thought it was well worth it.
Good service and even better food. A great introduction to a slightly higher class of dining.

I love Andiamo Restaurant. I have been there several times and would highly recommend it to anyone craving a first class feast! As I am a child I do seek for great kids menus. If you are wanting to take your kids to Andiamo it is a great idea. There is something for everybody at Andiamo. A-MAY-ZING!

Love this place! My sister took me here about 2 years ago and we've been going there regularly ever since. Fantastic food, attentive, friendly service and lovely atmosphere. The staff are welcoming, professional and efficient. The linguine is to die for for the record. Never had a bad experience here. (I had to select a month I visited but we've been going there often over the past 2 years)

Visited Andiamo for late lunch, and the food and service were fabulous as usual. The location is perfect for people watching, and catching the last of the sun if you manage to find a spare table outside. The white linen napkins are a nice touch, and the cutlery and tableware are also of the highest quality. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful. A great spot for a special occasion dinner or a lazy sunday brunch.

Good food, great atmosphere and great staff. The waitress took us through every item on our huge antipasto which was impressive and she had a laugh with us about getting through the whole thing. Nice spot!

We have been coming to Andiamos since it opened and have always had a great dining experience. The food is constantly good, which makes it a good reliable choice for dinner out.
The only thing I would like to see is one or two changing selections on the menu each time we come so we have a different choice, otherwise this restaurant is hard to beat.

Had lunch here again today.....always good....sat outside on a beautiful sunny day. Staff are all great, knowledgable and attentive.
Only downside, smokers at the outside tables.....wish restaurants would stand up to smokers and tell them to smoke elsewhere....

I loved Andiamo's hearty and flavoursome mince on toast for lunch yesterday. Imbued with delicious flavours, the mince was generously heaped upon on two thick crusty rounds of toasted bread. Loads of shaved parmesan cheese, beautifully balanced by the spinach, tomatoes and other goodies hiding within the mince.
A delightful place, even if a little breezy/smokey if too near the front door when it's open and smoking patrons are outside.
Very pleasant and helpful staff (who double-checked on the smoke-smell a second time after we'd showed concern about it earlier).
Fabulous value as well - at only $15 a pop for the mince on toast, it was excellent quantity of quality food!

Not the cheapest place to eat in Auckland however food is excellent. Hard to go past the pork belly or rack of lamb. Great wine selection and the service is top-notch.
Well worth a try.

Really enjoy coming here over the winter especially, now the menu has changed, portions seem to have downsized and there is less choice. Still a worthwhile restaurant though.

Had lunch and breakfast here a few times. It's really good and you can see why it is a staple of the Herne Bay area. It's always busy. That says volumes in itself.
The staff are well trained and looked after my wife and I with our new baby really well. I'd recommend it to anyone and it's why it wins awards.
