Had lunch here on a rainy Browns Bay day. This used to be Thai Beach Cafe, so I’m not sure if it’s been sold or has just gone through a rebranding. The decor is more lunch bar than restaurant now (there’s a drinks fridge in the corner), but it’s clean and the seating is comfortable. The bench seats along the walls make it feel comfortable to sit side by side with your lunch date (no fights over the comfy seats). The large jar lights with full-on filament light bulbs were impressive.
We felt like something hot, so I had the steamed chicken noodle soup and my friend had the stir fried noodles with beef. He likes his a little spicy and this didn’t disappoint. I’ve been searching for a good pho ga ever since I got back from the US a couple of years ago. The soup was better than any I’ve had so far – very large portions of white meat chicken, a good serving of noodles, bean sprouts and coriander with a tasty broth.
I miss how they do pho in the States – they give you a side platter with coriander, sweet basil, onions, sprouts and sauces which you add to the soup yourself – but this was the closest I’ve had with the toppings already added. I didn’t expect a Thai place to do it, but was very happy with the result. Definitely going back again.

We have been here a few times and always enjoyed the food. Good prices and good portion sizes. The (kiwi) owner tends to fuss around a bit and can get a little annoying with his constant attendance at the table and small talk. Pays to get here early though as the two times we have attempted to get a table at 8:15pm we were advised the kitchen was closed. Overall the food is nice and worth returning for.

Rung the Thai beach cafe for a reservation for Mums birthday and received a confirmation call from Tim the owner. We had to change our time due to unforeseen circumstances and were treated graciously . Arrived slightly earlier but we were welcomed regardless. Meals arrived moments after we ordered with friendly staff catering to our every needs. The meals were fresh and nothing much was left over. Once we finished our dinners and we were about to leave, Tim said that they had a birthday cake for my Mum, they dimmed the lights and sung her happy birthday. The overall experience was delightful and I would highly recommend them anytime to anyone. Thanks to the staff, chefs and owners Mae and Tim for exceeding our expectations.

We have tried many Thai places in the local area but here you will always get great food and service. It had a good range to suit all, including children, and reasonable pricing. They also do a nice spicy Thai Hot when asked!
Highly recommended.

Stunning fresh food with exceptional service.

Great food good prices.
Thought it was really good how the staff made an effort to go through the menu with us.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Thai Beach Cafe. Would and have recommended to friends and family. Leo’s special is awesome. The house wine is great and very reasonably priced.
