Reviews for Columbus Coffee on Dominion Rd
18th February 2014
I would normally not choose a franchise like Columbus over independent cafes, but this one’s different. The coffee is always great and beautiful there.
I mostly come for coffee, but I’ve tried their food a few times and it’s excellent. My last treat was a filled croissant (I think it was bacon and eggs), the relish served with it was divine. Unfortunately, I’m almost never hungry in the morning, so I don’t get to try the food so often.
The place looks great, they even have a dedicated space for the kids and grow their aromatic herbs outside the cafe.
BTW, don’t worry, I am not the owner… We just happen to have the same awesome first name.

This is not your regular Columbus Cafe franchise, the food is outstanding, the coffee is great and the customer service is exceptional. We hosted my sister’s kitchen tea party here last month and Annelise and the team completely exceeded our expectations, nothing was a problem – we have been raving about this place ever since. Highly recommend you go in and see for yourself.

I had high tea at Colombus Cafe and it was superb. Fresh smoked corn fritters topped with fresh salmon, mini burgers with cranberry sauce. The list goes on then followed an amazing assortment of sweet treats including white chocolate and rosemary slice….amazing taste. Service was filled with humour, friendliness and efficiency and great coffee. Will definitely be back. Celia C

I think there has been a change of staff over the last few months and the changes I’ve noticed have been marvelous. I recently had a breakfast here of corn fritters – the fritters were delicious and came with plenty of avocado and deliciousness. The only downside was the bacon was pretty scorched but everything else was so good it almost made up for it! What I really love here are the fresh juices. The beetroot, ginger, orange and mint juice is amazing. So is the pear and ginger. A real strong point! And the service is lovely. But guys please get some tabasco or other hot sauce that isn’t sweet chili!

I had high tea here in the weekend. Food served was great, and good service. The cafe itself has nice decor and we found a park close by on a side street. There were yummy fresh scones served with cream and jam, slices, cupcakes and mini quiches and sausage rolls. Was very nice! And they used royal albert crockery to serve the tea.

A well set up place, with very friendly and professional staff. I ordered ‘The Lot’, a full cooked breakfast. A huge portion, with fresh portobello mushrooms, vine tomatoes and what appeared to be hand- made hash browns. Very tasty, and terrific value for money.
