Absolutely delicious! My husband and I had the stuffed snapper and the vegetarian biriyani – we will definitely come back to try more items on the menu. The food was full of flavour and the snapper came out on a sizzling hotplate which made for impressive presentation. The fish and the biriyani were well seasoned and tasty, and the all the extra accompaniments like the raita were lovely as well. While the preparation seemed long (20 minutes), it was well worth the wait. The proprietor was very friendly and took the time to explain the different dishes on his menu. This restaurant is a gem of South Asian cuisine tucked in the back of the Elliot Stables.

Had authentic Indian food. Enjoyed the spices unique to Indian cuisine.
Had the Beef olathu, Prawns curry and Fish fry. All three were excellent.
The chef was jovial and very welcoming. The service was well tailored to the customers.

Marvellous. Wonderful kind staff and a great blend of spices. I had the mango fish which was a fantastic combination.

Tasty Indian food with a touch of Mediterranean influence. Friendly staff and pleasing ambiance is this classy food court.
We had the pumpkin and beet plus a chicken with cocoon…
Yum!

Really rather magnificent in its flavours, I had the snapper stuffed with green mango “Manga Meen”. A couple of enthusiastic guys (incl the chef, I think) helped me choose, and recommended the watermelon juice with it ($5) – which was a delicious refreshing complement to the spicy piquant flavours of the fish.
The thin sauce, which came separately in a little bowl, was just so beautiful, I wished there was a bigger bowl of it (in fact that would be my one recommendation for improvement – a bigger bowl of the special Indian sauce please?).
The fish came as a whole snapper, sizzling, and it was sliced open in sections where it had been stuffed with the flavoursome contents, so it was pretty easy to get at the tasty flesh, and avoiding most of the pin bones. (I paid a bit extra to get the snapper instead of kingfish for the lunch serving).
I made a good move coming after the lunch rush hour, so I had plenty of tables to choose from in the Elliott Stables seating area, and it was really peaceful without loads of other bodies in there at the same time! It’s got a cool vibe here anyway.
I would definitely highly recommend this place if you’re into interesting food flavours, and love to try something spicy and a little bit different.
