When organising our friend’s hen night we were looking for something different with live entertainment and where we could also eat and drink. Surprisingly it’s not easy to find such a place in Auckland but Encore Cabaret fitted the bill.
I’ve usually found that venues with entertainment may deliver second-rate food. This was not our experience at Encore. There was a good selection of food and it was fresh and plentiful.
What really impressed me was the quality of the talent. I expected just another lip-syncing drag show. What we got was great singers, a team of beautiful talented dancers and even an acrobat. There was cast of about 10 or 12 people for the evening’s two shows with costume changes with every song. It was far more elaborate than I expected.
The Encore entertainers made a fuss over our “bride to be” which really made her night.
It was good wholesome fun and great value. I would thoroughly recommend Encore Cabaret for a great night out.

What a memorable night at Encore. I went with a group of friends. The atmosphere was awesome. The show/entertainment was amazing. The costumes were out of this world. Well done to all the performers, organizers, choreography, stage, lighting & sound. The buffet dinner was scrumptious, varied & plentiful. I would highly recommend Encore to anyone, groups, hen parties, bachelor nights, works do’s etc. Fantastic value for money. 5 stars!

I went to Encore with a group of people from work as our end of year party. What a riot! The show was so good….the best I’ve seen in Auckland for a long while. We had a real mixed bag of people in our group which might of meant the show wouldn’t cater to everyone, but it did! Everyone that went, loved it.
The meal was a buffet and I’ve my share of bad ones in the past but was pleasantly surprised with the quality and the quantity.
If I could have given them a four and a half star I probably would have as the only thing I might have changed would be to see a bit more lighting when the guys on stage get down into the audience. At times it was a little hard to see .
But these guys are definately worth more than 4 stars.
Good on you guys. Good food, excellent show and an amazing atmosphere. Can’t wait for next Christmas.

Encore, can probably be best described as a cabaret-inspired variety show and restaurant – a place where your waiter is also your entertainer.
Encore offers a average buffet meal, which they run out of quiet quickly later followed by dessert. there is a show approx 2 hour of average quality.
It features a number of acts, most of which revolve around singing. The opening act of proud mary really got the crowd going but perhaps was a false start to the evening. The show by Belinda on the circular acrobat was awesome
There were a few technical issues on the night – poor lighting and crammed tables meant people were tripping to and from the buffet (not so magical when you have a plate full of food!). Also, for a show that relies heavily on singing, having the microphones drop out regularly made for a disjointed experience.
Although there is a bit of drag and the cabaret is overall quite slow and disjointed , Encore definitely caters to a mixed crowd.
I probably wouldn’t revisit.
