Himalayan Indian Takeaway specialises in Indian cuisine with a large variety of dishes. Popular dishes include butterchicken, lamb rogan josh, chicken tikka masala, chicken Sezuan and Chicken Mirchiwala that can all be customised to the customers likes. We do not use flour in our main curries. All curies are served with Basmati rice. We use grilled chicken in all of our curries.

by Juanita F. 17th April 2013: Very good Indian food at a great price- the value for money here makes me give it five stars. The chicken dishes are yum and the samosas are the best I’ve ever had!! Lovely friendly service – nothing is too much trouble. We go there a lot — at least once a month and we recommend it for a good value and yummy family meal.

A shame really as I was looking forward to a decent curry. Will give my 1 star towards the friendly service, just a shame the dish let them down

The half size is perfect for one person and this is the first Indian takeaway in Auckland I’ve found that do peshwari naan – bonus!

by Tim 18th March 2012: Have been in Auckland for four years and this is by far the best Indian food I’ve had in the eastern bays. Awesome food, great pricing and service as well. Love the chicken korma, I eat it at least once a fortnight. Family business and the young daughter who works out front sometimes is extremely polite.
