I had a yummy brunch here today with my mum for mothers day.

They even made mushrooms on toast for my mum at a reasonable price which she loved (it is her favourite). I also had the full Monty breakfast which was very fulling and also at a great price!

Thank you for the quick and friendly service on my mums special day you guys really made her day!

Fantastic – there were 8 of us who went at 7pm last night. 2 have been many times before. We laughed and chatted with a drink out on the cosy deck with wonderful views before going inside to eat. A lovely atmosphere with superb food and superb service.

The worst dinning experience I have ever had in New Zealand. We went there for a causal dinner on a Sunday night. First, we were the only customers, we thought we may aswel give it a try as it’s just 10 minutes away from home. We ordered 2 dishes between my partner and I, duck and port mince stir fry, clay pot mixed seafood. Five minutes later, the waiter came back to us and said they are out of pork mince, if we could change to stir fry duck only. We said ok, but thinking shouldn’t pork mince be the most common ingredients in a resturatant (and we were the only customers there!)?! 20 mins later, the dish came, the portion was so small that even smaller than those small size plate in the food court. Oh well, maybe it tasted really good? the stir fry duck was basically duck + black bean, and extremely salty! Then the mixed clay pot seafood, was not even 2/3 filled in the clay pot with frozen seafood mix! The dishes was not cheap either, the meal caused $41.50 and we were not full at all after the meal (both of us are only small/medium size people). I have never been that disappointed with a restaurant before, and I have no idea why it hasn’t closed yet!

My friend and I went there the other day, they didn’t look like they were particularly busy, so I figured we would be served fairly quickly. We ordered a milkshake, and a smoothie, we then had to wait half an hour to get our drinks. They were both watery as a lot of ice had been added. I also bought a brownie which tasted like it had been made using a packet mix. The staff weren’t particularly friendly. Not impressed and won’t be returning.

I can highly recommend Hum Cafe either for breakfast or afternoon tea. I really enjoyed a recent breakfast here, the potatoes were awesome :-) The cabinet food is beautiful, really nice muffins and slices, very hard to find such a nice selection anywhere else.

We found this cafe after a recent trip to Vietnam. It is an established cafe taken on by new owners who have opened a Vietnamese Cafe upstairs. The owners previously established the very successful Sappa on Albany Highway.

We have been here twice now and are looking forward to our next visit. Great food and good people

Since Hum Vietnamese Restaurant opened, we returned 3 or 4 times already, really loved their Summer fresh rolls, beef salad, lemongrass chicken, and many more, we will definitely telling more of our friends about this place.
