Went with the family (4 of us) to Raviz, 15 Mt Eden Rd, Auckland using deal vouchers.
Excellent food and very friendly staff. They offered to pack for us left overs (very tasty but still too much) and even didn’t want to charge us for 3 additional drinks that we had.

Will definitively go back again, and yes, if you like Indian food this is the place to go…

I was in love with this place until my last visit. We went there on my hubby’s birthday. They took about 15mins to come to our table to take the order. We ordered the entire course together including starters, soup, chinese, mains, naan etc. two starters took 45 mins to arrive and then came the soup 10 mins later. We didn’t make an issue about it and waited patiently. 1 hour after finishing the starters and soup when there was no sign of mains we asked them to pack whatever was ready. We were asked to wait for another 15 – 20 mins or to change the order????? There was no duty manager around and I guess they had a problem with their Chinese chef and that’s why everyones curry orders were promptly served and we were made to wait for ever. All I wanted was if there was some issue with Chinese chef they should have told us to order curry in the begning itself not 2hrs after taking the order..

i must say the food was spectacular and the staff were very Nice and outgoing i enjoyed the food overall out of 10 i would give them 100% i had a wonderful time they treated me with utmost respect even though it was very busy they done the same with other customers also i felt very happy with the overall performance

Very disappointing. When we arrived at 7, the restaurant was busy which we thought was a great sign. We then got ‘pointed’ towards our table. We sat and waited 15 mins for someone to take our orders, then a further 15 mins for our drinks to arrive. The entre arrived about 10 mins later of which the food was very nice. At 9pm, 2 hrs after arriving, our mains arrived. Also the neighbouring tables had not been cleared off in the time we were at this restaurant which is not a great look. We had to ask twice when our mains were coming! However by nine, i had seen two groups of potential diners walk out in frustration. They had been sitting waiting for service for over 15 mins also. There was only one waitress working, who did a great job under the circumstances but this is not acceptable in a packed restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant even though the food was good as the overall service was substandard and there are better indian restaurants out there that at least you are acknowledged, orders are taken promptly and you feel that your patronage is valued.

Its hard to believe this place is a chain! The service is absolute tops. I have been to Raviz Mt Eden nearly a dozen times and I have never had to ask for my water to be topped up and I am always asked if I am enjoying the main. The food is outstanding too. Despite there being several Raviz restaurants closer to where I live, I always make the drive over to Mt Eden simply because the food (quality & quantity) and service are far superior at this branch. Yes the decor is rather dated in comparison to the other Raviz restaurants, but hey, I go for the food and service, not for the decor! Its become our favourite restaurant in Auckland. If you go on a Monday or Tuesday night you get fantastic prices on the food.

I feel like the person who wrote the review about delivery was actually me. Called at 7.10pm, still waiting at 8.37pm and told “yes yes yes it’s on it’s way, just 5 more minutes”. We live a 5minute walk away, obviously us being lazy has taught us a lesson tonight. Will tell anyone I can about how bad their service is. And still waitingggggggggggg.

The worst delivery service ever. On a Sunday evening we placed our order just before 7, and were told it would be an hour. When we hadn’t receieved anything by 8:15 we gave them a call and were told its on its way. Now we are maybe 5 minutes away from the store, yet we didn’t recieve our meal until 8:50. And what did they say? “Sorry, next time the delivery will be on time” For obvious reasons there will not be a next time.

Went their for dinner the other night. Service was great, entrees were awful (the onion bhagi was soggy and the mushrooms fried soggy tasteless), the mains were okay, but really nothing outstanding. Sad, cause I say again the service was really friendly and attentive.

We order from Raviz about every other month. The food is delicious and delivery is always on time. Their Mango Lassi is to die for!
I highly recommend the Butter Chicken and Lamb Korma.
