Based in the tranquil garden setting of the original Deans homestead. Riccarton House Bistro proudly relaunched from 28th October 2011, offers the best food that Canterbury has to offer sourced from the Christchurch Farmers Market which is held on the grounds every Saturday from 9am – 12pm. Riccarton House Bistro is open for lunch and is available for private functions, group bookings, weddings, birthdays and afternoon teas. Great food, great wine, great service in a beautiful setting. Formerly known as ‘Taste at Riccarton House’, the venue is perfect for any occasion.

by Andy G. 22nd January 2013: Went here for a conference dinner. They were situated in a marquee out in the rain – so it was a little like camping – a bit cold, and squishy under foot lol!
But – the food was beautiful. I had a ricotta gnocchi wrapped in grilled eggplant for my main and it was so delicious. A small portion, but i’d rather have a sumptuous treat like this than something big and average.
