Food was good hence I have my son’s birthday party order on Saturday. Will definitely post my review on party orders @ Ruchi. Hope music is good and food is good as per our expectation from Ruchi. Have really talked good about this place to my guest.
Sorry but it’s all bad!
Went there last week; only 2-3 other people in the whole place no music playing, dull atmosphere and staff were most unhelpful.
We ordered onion bhaji to start, out it came 7 tiny onion rings on a big plate no sauce offered with it like normal. They were cold and tasted like they had been cooked in the microwave to top that off they wanted $7.99 that’s more than $1 for 1 tiny as piece.
Ate 1 each and gave it back saying that we weren’t going to pay for that explained that they were cold, chewy and seemed like they were cooked in the microwave.
The waiter/guy said nothing and took it back into the kitchen.
We then went to order our mains asked what would be a good dish to try.
He advised that since our experience was bad to start with he thought it might be best that we leave.
We were shocked by this and asked why they don’t want a chance to redeem themselves!?
Gave up arguing and left!
The prices are more than most of the Indian restaurants I have ever been to are much cheaper!
Would definitely not recommend this to anyone!
Very good food – we were made to feel welcome by the staff and loved the food. We went late at night and got a takeaway – I can recommend their vegetarian dishes, they’re really good. My husband went for the Briyani and it was great, too. Would like to go there more often but it’s a bit out of the way. Nevertheless can only recommend them…. one of the best Indian food places around!
Food was great and service very pleasant. Would definitely recommend. Butter chicken was one of the best
Great Indian Restaurant.. Easy to find a car park. Greeted as soon as we entered. Great friendly service and great food. Butter chicken was great as well as the lamb saag.
Enjoyed the experience we will be back.
We decided to go for dinner here on a Saturday night as the restaurant was listed in the Entertainment Book. Despite us making an early reservation and there being only one other couple in the restaurant when we arrived they decided to seat us by the door on a cold winter’s night.
The food was average and the plates came out cold. The service was pleasant, if a little slow. The restaurant itself lacked any ambience or charm.
We will not be returning.
This is the best Indian restaurant in Mt Eden – clean, fabulous food, great service and reasonably priced. Parking is easy as it is slightly out of the village. We went as a family and thoroughly enjoyed every dish.
We get takeaways from here nearly every week – yummy butter chicken! Really creamy. They are such good value too – free rice with a curry and they deliver for free!
We order from Raviz about every other week. The food is authentic & delicious and delivery is always on time. I highly recommend the chicken biriyani and Lamb Korma.
