snow planet cafe and restaurant is a great disappointment their service is really bad and their food is no better. DON”T BOTHER COMING! The hill is really small and is really busy during the week. They charge high prices on the menu and the tickets for the snow when it is as bad as Mcdonalds or worse don’t waste your money here!

Amazing food, great value for money! Friendly staff , and what an awesome view to look at whilst eating your lunch!

What a disappointment!
We decided to bring our under 3′s to Snowplanet for the first time. After an hour they were all pretty cold so we decided to have an early lunch in the Cafe.
We were told by both staff and management that the toddlers were not allowed to have their healthy lunch in the cafe, even though us 5 adults were purchasing food and drinks.
They offered us Fish & Chips and informed us that they are cooked fresh so therefore they are healthy!?!? Obviously, they don’t have children of their own!
We gave them an option of either allowing the toddlers to eat their healthy sandwiches, whilst we spent approx $150 on our own food and drink OR not to have our custom. They chose the latter, so we left and went into Orewa and had an amazing lunch at Kaizen, spending over $200 on food and wine. I am sure they were grateful of the money!
The experience with the Cafe, ruined my daughter’s birthday (I didn’t even get to see her open her presents as I was talking to the ‘Manager’) and I don’t think we will bother driving 1.5 hours to visit Snowplanet again (and their ‘snow’ staff were great!)
I do not recommend going to the Snowplanet Cafe – they obviously don’t need the money anyway …
