Really enjoyable meal last night. Helpful and unobtrusive service – no question too silly. We stayed for over two hours enjoying the low key friendly atmosphere and the delicious, fresh Thai food. Awesomely authentic pad Thai and a really yummy curry (forgot the name of it).

This is my second visit this year. Will definitely be back. So much to choose from, look forward to another great meal.

We have been ordering (in the restaurant and takeaway) over the past three years from Stang House. They have the best Thai food not just in the Hutt but all of Wellington. Our most recent dinner was last week and we love the new setup. The food is simply wonderful very delicious and at a great price. The effort that goes into the dishes and the taste achieved is quite something. It is the closest we have every found to the authentic taste sensation outside of Thailand. Delicious, Aromatic, Superbly cooked cuisine! We ate here last night, the service was excellent, our orders were quick and above all the food was divine – plenty of prawns as opposed to many places who are ‘frugal’ with prawns…

Great little restaurant with casual, unpretentious atmosphere. Excellent food and good prices. Service is unobtrusive, food well presented with great flavours and good ingredients. The space is tiny and can be a little cramped but thats not why you are here. If you are expecting wait staff in suits and edgy decor pick another place. A great, but simple, experience.

What a fantastic meal, small family owned restaurant, prices are great, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food – Sensational, We will be returning as soon as we can (even our young child thoroughly enjoyed all the food). YUM

What a great find Stand House was for us! The menu is extensive and presented us with plenty of tempting dinner options. We had gaeng daeng with beef, the best red curry I have tasted in a long time. We also shared a massive serving of chicken kow pad mad mamuang, stir fried rice with cashew nuts and (frozen mixed) vegetables. Although we asked for all parts of our meal to be served together, the roti arrived twenty minutes before our main dishes so was almost cold by the time we came to eat it. It still tasted delicious and went especially well with the red curry. A thoroughly enjoyable meal – we’ll definitely be back.

Quaint and inviting ambiance. Excellent service by the husband of the chef/cook very helpful and humble. Fresh vegetables, fish to order pre-booking. Exquisite steamed squid dish, lovely subtle flavours which lingered in the mouth and goes well with Pinot Gris, mmmm. Will return again and promote amongst friends and family. Highly recommend!!

This is the best Thai food outside of Thailand – and affordable. does both in dining and take away… best Tom Yum soup i have ever had
