Staff are really friendly and helpful, especially the weekend. Had 1 bad experience, during the week. Ordered the crock pot dish and that was over cooked and had to wait 28 mins for it, my partners food came out 15 mins before mine. It was really quiet, there was only 1 other couple there and was not too impressed with the meal. The person making the coffee was the only person concerned about the wait and apologised. I have been back several times and have enjoyed all my meals, highly reccommend the corn fritters and the coffee. Going back with a empty stomach to take on the big breakfast. Seating arrangement is mainly for large groups and theres not much space for a table for couples. But well worth checking out.

Thanks for that John, sometimes I have to do a Gordon Ramsey in the kitchen!!! Glad you didn’t let it put you off and we have your return custom. Any issues anyone experiences please let me, Siobhan, know. I will do my best to rectify and make sure everyone that comes into the cafe leave happy!!! The big breaky is worth it!!

Normally I would rave about this cafe. The pies are incredible.
However this time I ordered 10 pies the previous day for a birthday at work the next day. Called 20mins prior to pick up on the day and was told there was only 5 pies ready. Not a “communication breakdown” as expressed but more like shabby service and incompetence. Not impressed…

Part two. Just picked up the pies. Five of them were the usual high quality. And this is were the dodgy behaviour starts, the remaining five pies were $2 big ben pies (or similar). He wanted to charge me $9.50 for the low quality ring ins. Crazy how a new business can treat a good customer like this. The office were appalled with the behaviour.

As the manager I hold particularly high standards and had, now regrettably, taken the easter off. I am highly embarrassed that this had happened and can only assure that in the future steps will be made so there is no repeat of this kind of performance. Checked out this gorgeous new cafe after driving by several times.

The coffee is fantastic (Allpress) and the food all made on site. Extremely yummy selection of counter food and cakes to die for. Haven’t tried the lunch/brekkie menu but will be back shortly to indulge in that.

Lovely friendly staff and very appealing clean fresh premises.

Definitely the best cafe in Onehunga/Royal Oak area.

Was recommended by a colleague to try this cafe. Stopped by for a morning coffee, was enticed by the delicious looking mini carrot cakes to try one of those as well. Had no complaints about my trim mocha, made very well, and the carrot cake was delicious. And I try carrot cake everywhere. One of the best.

Nice clean, bright surroundings, with clean counter food with a mix of healthy and not so healthy options, besides whats on the menu. Will definitely come here again.
